Dog Licenses/Renewals Due by May 1, 2021

All dog owners in the City of Lyons must acquire a yearly license for each dog by May 1. A current certificate of Rabies vaccination must be provided to the City Clerk before a license will be issued. Licenses are available at the Lyons City Office, 335 Main Street during regular business hours or attend the upcoming Pet Clinic.

Pet Clinic

The City of Lyons and Red Barn will host a Pet Vaccination and Dog Licensing Clinic in front of Steiny’s General Store, 203 Main St, on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Bring your cats and dogs to be vaccinated and have your dog(s) licensed through the City all at the same convenient time. Lyons dog license is $6 per dog. Vaccination costs: Rabies $14, Distemper Parvo $22, Feline Feleuk $24.

ATV & UTV Licenses/Renewals

All ATV/UTV owners in the City of Lyons must acquire an annual license permit by May 1. Current proof of insurance must be provided to the City Clerk when licensing at the Lyons City Office, 335 Main St during regular business hours. License cost is $25 to the City of Lyons when licensing.

Community Clean-up

When :  Friday, May 7, 2021 (rain or shine)     8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  Saturday, May 8, 2021 (rain or shine)     8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

              Any items dumped outside of these set hours will be considered littering.

Where : Behind the Lyons Recycling Center.

Persons must have a Lyons utility bill receipt to be allowed to dump off items. Metals and appliances accepted. Will not accept computers, batteries, tires, paint, chemicals, oil products, or roofing materials.
